I must admit that fast food does make everything easier however nothing tastes better than good old char-grilled hamburgers.  Who could ever resist those tempting smoky, juicy, char-grilled hamburgers that you could only get by grilling them?

But it is such a hassle when you have to fire up the grill using charcoal.  There’s a tendency to get food that is underdone or overdone and then flare ups could also result to burnt food, a waste of time, money and effort.  It’s a good thing that innovative ideas like propane or natural gas grills were invented making grilling easier and fun to do.

I just got a new grill from Weber called the Weber Genesis E-320 Grill and there are dozens of reasons why I love it so much.  Last Sunday, our family had a picnic and it gave me opportunity to try out my new grill from Weber.  I had whipped up an old recipe of hamburger that my mother had passed on to me and I was praying it would turn out just like the way she had cooked them.

When I had taken out the Weber Genesis E-320 Grill, it made a big impression on my family.  They thought I had shelled out a lot of money for it.  The sleek design (I had chosen a black one) not only looks sophisticated, it also is heavy duty.

But the best thing about it was when I had started grilling the burgers.  They were evenly seared and perfectly smoked.  Thanks to the Flavorizer Bars and the porcelain coated cast iron grates that the Weber Genesis E-320 Grill had.  The great thing about it is that the bars where angled so when the juice from the burgers dripped down, they were vaporized so that smoke comes back up to food and flavorizes them.  And then the burgers were also perfectly seared thanks to the porcelain-coated grates which distributed heat evenly so I don’t have overcooked hamburgers on one side and undercooked hamburgers on the other.

Another reason I love Weber Genesis E-320 Grill is because, unlike other grills that I’ve purchased before, the control knobs are located so it feels ergonomically right.  I didn’t have to go on one side to turn the knobs on and then there were also work surfaces located on both sides so my mother could work on her recipes on one and then me on the other.  And then there’s the side burner, so when I ran out of barbecue sauce, all I had to do is whip up another batch.

But the true test for this Weber Genesis E-320 Grill that I just bought was when my mother tasted the hamburgers and gave me two thumbs up.  I felt like a great chef and was so proud.  So the next time we have a barbecue party, this grill is going to absolutely come with me.
